Laundry Day.

ok so it rained, yes on my laundry day. this alys happens. its almost like my wearing jeans to school last time? whenever i wore my only pair of jeans to school, it rains. ALL the time. ya then i will have my jeans all soaked up in rainwater. yumness. anyway, normal ppl who have washing machines at home will just feel that - oh its raining, maybe dun do laundry today or hang out the clothes to dry later, after the rain stops rite? well, we dun have a washing machine at home. so i actually have to handwash or lug my huge bag of laundry to the self-service laundromat at geylang. its no joke ya? i weighed a bag of laundry that i normally bring over to geylang, it came up to be abt 10kg. so at the start of the day, i was quite happy when i woke up to a bright sunny day. the skies only started to turn grey with booming thunder when i was waiting for my laundry to be done. so, me with 10kg of laundry n brolly @ geylang (-.-) kinda fml moment huh? but im actually quite alrite, im just happy that i got another bag of laundry done without me having to handwash it. haha.

i find it kinda therapeutic to do my laundry this way? of cos its also due to the fact that i have the leisure time now to watch my clothes spin spin spin for like 40 mins? hahaha. ok i dun actually watch it for all of the 40 mins, will normally bring my lappy along or a book to read. i like the folding of the washed clothes bit the bestest. its like... whoaaaa clean, nice-smelling clothes at the press of a few buttons! LOL (believe me, if u have tried to handwash for like the past 10 over yrs of your life, u'd feel the same abt this too.)

why no washing machine at home? well, Mr & Mrs Lim din see the need to have a washing machine when they 1st bot the flat. so theres no water inlet & outlet for a washing machine. even if i buy a washing machine now, also gotta do the inlet outlet thingy. quite a hassle IMO. so i think we'll wait till we finally get to renovate the house to fix everything up? (god knows when that will happen, what with Mr Lim refusing to budge on clearing his whole lotta stuff)

Job vacancies & interviews.

i have been much more diligent in my lookout for a job, preferably smth HR-related. most of the HR job positions require relevant work experience, thus this seems to be my weakest link for now. went for 3 interviews since last week & just got my very 1st "rejection" email for a L&D post that i was most interested in amongst all the jobs that i applied for.

yes, hopefully the future jobs i apply & the eventual job that i do manage to secure will be even betta than the 1st case of rejection. as for now, i will just keep on looking out for suitable job vacancies for myself. *pushes self from the butt* go go Melmel go!!

How To Avoid The Binge!

Just read thru an article on how I may be able to curb my binge habit. hmm.... well no harm to try it out I guess. haha. the article lists a few food stuff that can be consumed to keep you full for a longer period of time. Listed are the ones that I can try:
  1. Apples
  2. Beans
  3. Eggs
  4. Fatty fish (like mackerel, salmon & tuna)
  5. Nuts
  6. Plain popcorn (unsalted, unsweetened)
  7. Baked potatoes (with fish or chicken)
  8. Green tea
Seems quite feasible rite? haha. i will try it out 1st n see if it works. LOL
